of the Denver Post interviewed me for a story. At that time she
asked, "What would YOU like to see come out of this
story?" I told her and she did the FIRST article on the need
for this database, published WEEKS before our bill was introduced
in Congress. |

STORY on the problem of Stolen Valor, including an article on the
NEED for a Roll of Valor. The Times Editorial Board

fraudulent heroes found in the Library of Congress Veterans
History Project, the Pueblo Chieftain announced efforts to
get Congress to pursue a National Roll of Honor. The following day
the Chieftain Editorial Board announced their support for
the idea in an op/ed on the editorial page. |

On September 28, three days after the Pueblo Chieftain
story ran, Congressman John Salazar who represents Pueblo in
Congress joined with Congressman Patrick Murphy of Pennsylvania to
introduce the Military Roll of Valor Act of 2007. |
